Prairie Maison, a subsidiary of Community Health Services, is looking for an individual who enjoys serving the elderly by performing a full range of laundry and housekeeping services to assure residents clothing, linens, and living environments are maintained in a clean, serviceable condition.
Housekeeping: 7am - 1:30pm. Part-Time. Includes every other weekend and holiday.

Requirements:
Responsibilities:
-
Dust furniture, woodwork and equipment. Straighten furniture though out the facility.

Cleans resident rooms daily, including bed, bedside table, shelves and personal belongings.

Cleans and disinfects all fixtures, over the toilet commodes, floors, mirrors, windows, doors, walls of bathrooms.

Dry-mop and wet-mop resident rooms and other areas as assigned.

Cleans windows and window blinds throughout the facility.
-
Cleans vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, doorframes and other high areas using a ladder.

Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials using specified bags and containers.

Ensure all wastebaskets are emptied and washed.
-
Cleans all high touch areas daily.

Moves furniture and other heavy objects as required.
-
Deep cleans each room after a discharge and prepares room for a new admission.

Keeps all cleaning chemicals locked inside the housekeeping cart and other materials stored on the cart in an orderly fashion.

Stores all flammable chemicals in the flammable cabinet in the equipment room.

Inspect beds as scheduled and document issues for repairs.

Wear personal protective equipment as appropriate per facility policy.

Utilizes signage as needed such as wet floor signs to assure safety of residents, staff and visitors.

Assist with emergency cleaning throughout shift, as required.

Demonstrates ability to handle emergency situation in a prompt, precise and professional manner.
