We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Childcare Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and stimulating learning environment for our students, developing lesson plans, and providing instruction in basic academic, social, and emotional skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching young children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think on their feet.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood educational standards.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and appropriate discipline techniques.
- Engage with children through play, educational activities, and hands-on experiences to encourage learning.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive learning experience for students.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that promotes exploration and creativity.
- Attend training sessions, workshops, and meetings to enhance professional development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and best practices in childcare.
- Excellent classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Ability to work effectively with children of varying abilities.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A nurturing attitude with a genuine passion for teaching and caregiving.
- Relevant certifications in early childhood education or related fields are a plus.
- High School or GED
- Must complete a Criminal Background Check.
- Current TB Test
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.25 per hour
