Duties

- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and food processors.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly in accordance with food safety standards.
- Support meal service by plating dishes and ensuring timely delivery of prepared foods.
- Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling procedures and maintaining hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks, communicate effectively about orders, and ensure smooth workflow during busy periods.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting demonstrates familiarity with food preparation and customer service.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments is essential.
- Skills in menu planning, recipe adherence, and catering experience are advantageous.
- Proficiency in operating various kitchen equipment and tools, including knives for slicing techniques, is required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and support team efforts are necessary.
- Prior experience with food handling regulations and meal preparation in fast-paced environments will set candidates apart.
