LTC Ally is seeking a Remote experienced Account Specialist with a strong background in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) to join our team. This role is ideal for current or former Business Office Managers (BOM) who have hands-on experience managing census, billing, and resident accounts in a healthcare setting.
The Account Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing, collections, and account maintenance while maintaining professional and compassionate communication with residents, families, and facility staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain daily communication with residents, families, and facility staff regarding account status, billing, and payment inquiries.
- Manage and reconcile daily census and coordinate with admissions to ensure accurate resident information.
- Process admissions and discharges in the PointClickCare (PCC) system.
- Enter resident deposits and maintain up-to-date account balances.
- Oversee private pay collections and establish payment plans as needed.
- Complete and submit Medicaid billing and ensure proper coverage and eligibility.
- Verify and resolve coverage discrepancies and communicate updates to relevant parties.
- Assist in month-end close and reporting as directed.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) business office required.
- Prior experience as a Business Office Manager or in a similar financial/administrative role strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in PointClickCare (PCC).
- Strong understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, and private pay billing processes.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and professional demeanor when interacting with residents and families.
