We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Nursery Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in nursery operations, plant care, irrigation systems, and equipment operation. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and with a team to maintain high operational standards throughout the nursery.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily nursery operations and maintain overall nursery organization and cleanliness
- Unload deliveries and properly organize incoming plant material and supplies
- Pull and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Monitor and assist with irrigation systems, repairs, and maintenance
- Operate equipment including skid steers and tractors safely and efficiently
- Assist with plant care, including identifying plant health issues and proper maintenance practices
- Apply and/or assist with nursery herbicide and insecticide practices safely and responsibly
- Ensure nursery grounds and inventory are maintained to company operational standards
- Assist team members as needed to ensure daily tasks are completed
Qualifications
- Plant and nursery knowledge required
- Irrigation knowledge and service experience preferred
- Experience operating skid steers and tractors required
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Knowledge of herbicides and insecticides preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Previous nursery or landscaping experience preferred
Pay
- Starting at $20+ per hour, based on experience
