Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator/Project Manager to lead the planning, estimating, and execution of electrical construction projects. In this role, you will leverage your electrical engineering expertise and construction management skills to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. You will coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery from initial estimate through completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing advanced estimating tools and project management software to drive success.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive electrical estimates using construction estimating software, including ProCore, HeavyBid, and Bluebeam.
- Develop detailed project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools to ensure timely project execution.
- Oversee all phases of project management, including planning, resource allocation, scheduling, and coordination with subcontractors and vendors.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, system design documents, and technical specifications to accurately scope electrical work.
- Manage contracts, change orders, and procurement processes while maintaining compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Coordinate site activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed and projects adhere to construction management best practices.
- Monitor project progress through regular site visits, ensuring quality control and adherence to design specifications.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently.
- Utilize project management tools to track costs, timelines, and resource utilization for multiple concurrent projects.
Skills
- Extensive experience with construction estimating software such as ProCore, HeavyBid, or Bluebeam.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, system design, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation.
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools like Primavera P6 or Primavera for effective timeline management.
- Familiarity with NEC standards and electrical codes applicable to construction projects.
- Proven ability in construction management, project coordination, and site supervision within the electrical trade.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of contracts, procurement processes, and change order procedures in a construction setting.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Experience working on construction sites with hands-on electrical or related field experience preferred.
