Youth Advocate (Full-Time & Part-Time)
Part-Time Pay: $18.00–$23.00/hour
Full-Time Pay: $25.00–$30.00/hour
Evergreen Youth & Family Services is seeking compassionate, dependable, and energetic Youth Advocates to support runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth ages 9–17 at our youth crisis shelter. We currently have both full-time and part-time positions available.
As a Youth Advocate, you will provide mentoring, crisis support, case management, advocacy, and daily supervision for youth in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. This role combines direct client services with teamwork, relationship-building, and residential program support to help youth develop stability, resilience, and life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group support to youth in crisis
- Deliver case management and advocacy services
- Assist with family engagement and support services
- Supervise youth and facilitate recreational activities
- Support daily shelter operations, including meal preparation and housekeeping
- Maintain accurate documentation and confidential records
- Collaborate with schools, social services, tribal programs, and community partners
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Experience working with youth and families preferred
- Human services education or related experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Must successfully pass required background checks and screenings
