Duties
- Safely operate roll-off trucks following FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load, unload, and secure.
- Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of pickups, load weights, and inspection reports in compliance with logistics cargo handling procedures.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure vehicle safety, including checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, and safety equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing excellent customer service.
- Will be servicing the Robards and Henderson areas.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations and safety standards for truck loading/unloading.
- Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient route planning.
- Previous roll-off, waste, or commercial driving is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to pass a DOT drug screen and physical.
