We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed to enhance their shopping experience.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision and accountability.
- Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to effectively upsell items to customers.
- Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to ensure a well-presented store environment.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly while maintaining professionalism.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and high standards of customer service.
- Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a grocery store or retail environment.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience using POS systems.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls and inquiries effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Skills in supervising others are a plus, as well as the ability to upsell products effectively.
- A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service are essential.
