MCHC is looking for a caring, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our collaborative primary care team. In this role, you’ll support providers in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. What You’ll Do

Welcome and prepare patients for visits, collecting vital signs and health information

Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments within your scope of practice

Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with provider orders and within the Medical Assistant scope of practice

Perform routine tests (such as vision and hearing screenings) and assist with lab specimens

Maintain accurate documentation using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

Help manage prescription refill requests and medication reconciliations

Provide clear patient education and support as directed by the provider

Participate in team huddles, trainings, and continuous quality improvement efforts

Occasionally travel to support other MCHC sites as needed

Gain experience by cross-training in family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, psychiatry, and specialty services

Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

At least one year of experience in a clinical setting

Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
