Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair various household appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration repairs with precision and attention to detail
- Utilize your knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment repair to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions to guide repairs
- Conduct field service visits, often using a box truck or similar vehicle for transportation to customer locations
- Assist with assembly or installation of new appliances when necessary
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair processes, timelines, and maintenance tips to ensure satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in appliance repair or as a service technician with strong mechanical knowledge
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, refrigeration, HVAC, and equipment repair techniques
- Customer service experience with the ability to explain technical issues in understandable terms
- Delivery driver experience is a plus, especially familiarity with operating box trucks or similar vehicles
- Basic electrical experience and ability to work safely with electrical components
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward troubleshooting complex appliance issues
