Job Title: Production AssociateJob Description
The Production Associate plays a key role in operating and monitoring ingot casting and furnace processes, handling materials and equipment safely, and supporting overall production efficiency and quality in a heavy industrial plant environment. This position involves operating specialized machinery, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in the training of less experienced team members.
Responsibilities-
Operate the ingot casting line to ensure consistent and accurate ingot production.

Operate the densimeter and other measurement equipment to verify material properties.

Manage the pour station, maintaining proper ladle levels and monitoring pour quality.

Perform furnace charging by measuring levels, operating furnace controls, and charging material according to production requirements.

Use calculation methods to weigh materials accurately in pounds and kilograms, and interpret scale readings to maintain correct charge weights.

Monitor and operate furnace exhaust systems, including dampers and door controls, to maintain safe and efficient operation.

Understand and operate pump controls to manage circulation and material flow.

Operate and monitor RPMs and amperes related to circulation systems to maintain optimal performance.

Handle skimming and shipping tasks associated with molten metal or material processing.

Perform furnace tapping using proper techniques to plug and unplug the furnace safely and effectively.

Operate forklifts and front-end loaders to move materials and products within the plant.

Operate spectrometers, milling machines, and sanding machines to support production and quality control processes.

Maintain and monitor accurate operational records, including production data, equipment readings, and process documentation.

Follow safety, quality, and productivity standards consistently throughout all tasks.

Communicate effectively with leadership and team members regarding production status, issues, and improvement opportunities.

Essential Skills-
Experience operating forklifts and front-end loaders in an industrial or production environment.

Hands-on experience in general labor and general production work in a plant or manufacturing setting.

Ability to operate production machinery safely and efficiently, including casting equipment and furnace controls.

Comfort working with hand tools and basic construction or industrial tools.

Strong focus on safety, including adherence to safety procedures and use of appropriate protective equipment.

Work Environment
This role is based in a hot, dusty, and noisy plant environment where heavy industrial equipment and machinery are in constant operation. Team members work on a rotating 2x3x2 schedule with 12-hour shifts: days from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and nights from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The work is physically demanding and requires consistent attention to safety practices and proper use of equipment. Protective gear and appropriate industrial attire are necessary to perform duties safely and effectively in this setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
