We are seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Generalist / Manager to step in for an immediate temporary role covering a Leave of Absence through October. We are hiring immediately, with the position starting within the next two weeks. In this role, you will manage day-to-day HR operations, act as a trusted partner to leadership, champion a positive workplace culture, and ensure seamless employee relations and compliance during this interim period. Responsibilities
Partner with department leaders to provide expert guidance on performance management, coaching, policy interpretation, and workplace dynamics
Conduct workplace investigations and resolve employee relations matters with empathy, speed, and discretion
Support managers through coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations aligned with best practices and company policies
Lead end-to-end onboarding and orientation to deliver a seamless welcoming experience for new hires
Process new hires and manage complete I-9 compliance within ADP
Submit weekly payroll for multiple entities via ADP
Administer employee benefits programs, manage 401(k) eligibility rollouts, and process PFL and disability claims through our carrier
Maintain hyper-accurate HR files, personnel records, and compliance documentation
Ensure strict adherence to federal, New York State, and local labor laws and employment regulations
Identify opportunities to streamline HR workflows and improve operational efficiency
Support recruitment and interviewing efforts as needed to keep staffing seamless
