Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos
- Take customer orders and accurately enter them into the cash register
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns
- Operate and maintain coffee brewing equipment and espresso machines
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Follow food safety guidelines when handling and preparing food items
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
- Upsell additional products or menu items to customers
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and special offers
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction
Experience:
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with operating a cash register and handling cash transactions is a plus
- Basic math skills for calculating orders, handling money, and making change accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet customer needs promptly
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and different coffee varieties is desirable
- Understanding of food safety regulations and practices in a food service setting
- Sales experience or the ability to upsell products is beneficial
