We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Residential HVAC Service Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) services to our residential clients. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, coordinate service activities, and ensure the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in HVAC systems, mechanical systems, and property maintenance will drive efficiency and excellence across all service projects. We employ the Nexstar process in our company so Nexstar training is a major plus.
Duties
- Manage and supervise a team of service technicians specializing in HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Oversee scheduling, dispatching, and workflow to optimize service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct quality control inspections on completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and technical specifications.
- Provide technical guidance on complex HVAC issues including schematics interpretation, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration systems, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with clients to assess their needs, explain repair options, and ensure clear communication throughout the service process.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, equipment repairs, parts used, and customer interactions for reporting and compliance purposes.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations including EPA standards for refrigerants and proper handling of mechanical systems such as boilers and ammonia refrigeration units.
- Train new hires on technical and sales processes.
- Provide refresher training to existing employees on technical and sales training.
Skills
- Extensive construction experience with a strong background in HVAC system design, installation, and maintenance.
- Proven service technician experience with skills in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems repair and electrical diagnostics.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings related to mechanical systems, electrical wiring, plumbing, building automation systems, and HVAC controls.
- Mechanical knowledge covering equipment repair including boilers, refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and appliances.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing; welding skills are a plus.
- Strong understanding of property maintenance practices related to HVAC systems and general mechanical systems repair.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; familiarity with driver requirements is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Knowledge of EPA regulations regarding refrigerants; experience working with ammonia refrigeration is advantageous.
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems troubleshooting, and equipment repair procedures.
- Ability to lead field service operations efficiently while maintaining safety standards across all projects.

Pay: $300,000.00 - $375,000.00 per year
