Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented First Year Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and legal analysis across various practice areas
- Draft legal documents including memoranda, pleadings, contracts, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, negotiations, and client meetings by organizing case files and evidence
- Support the firm’s litigation efforts through document review, discovery management, and deposition preparation
- Participate in client interviews and meetings to gather relevant information under supervision
- Maintain organized case management records and ensure compliance with all procedural deadlines
- Collaborate with team members on complex legal issues related to estate planning, land use, environmental regulations, immigration policies, and more
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with bar admission or eligibility to sit for the bar exam
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise legal documents
- Experience or familiarity with legal drafting and administrative procedures in a law office setting
- Knowledge of multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, patent law, and immigration law is highly desirable
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to analyze complex legal issues effectively
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing case files and deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
