About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Truck Mechanic to join their team. This is not an entry-level position—we're looking for a seasoned diagnostic and repair professional who takes pride in precision work and can handle complex repairs on medium- and heavy-duty straight trucks with minimal supervision.
If you're a top-tier technician tired of being treated like a parts-swapper, we offer the pay, equipment, and respect that your expertise deserves.
(We're their HR Team, not a staffing agency.)
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair diesel and gas engines, transmissions, drivetrains, and electrical systems on Class 3–7 straight trucks (box trucks, stake beds, reefer units, dump bodies, and similar)
- Perform advanced troubleshooting using modern diagnostic software and equipment
- Handle preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and complex mechanical and electrical repairs
- Service air and hydraulic brake systems, hydraulics, HVAC, liftgates, and aftertreatment/emissions systems
- Work on chassis, suspension, and body-mounted equipment common to straight trucks
- Mentor junior technicians and uphold shop quality standards
- Maintain accurate repair records and communicate clearly with service writers and customers
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on experience repairing medium- and heavy-duty commercial trucks
- ASE certifications (Master Medium/Heavy Truck preferred) and/or OEM certifications
- Strong diagnostic skills across engine, electrical, and aftertreatment systems
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools (e.g., Cummins INSITE, Detroit DiagnosticLink, or equivalent)
- Experience with both diesel and gas-powered platforms a plus
- Valid driver's license; CDL a plus
- Your own hand tools (we supply specialty and diagnostic equipment)
- A professional attitude, reliability, and a commitment to doing the job right the first time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Benefits:

Experience:
