Skills/Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of experience as an inspector required
- Airframe or powerplant license preferred, but not required
- Must be able to understand, read and write in English
- Must be familiar with all inspection methods, techniques and equipment used in their area of responsibility to determine the quality of airworthiness on articles undergoing maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alteration
- Must be proficient in the use of the various types of inspection aids used for inspection in their area of responsibility
- Must be able to verify that the specifications, manuals and other data used during inspection procedures are current and approved for use by HEICO
- Must be able to read and interpret Component Maintenance Manuals to follow manufacturer's instructions
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be proficient in the use of MS Office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to work in a shop environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to mechanical equipment
