Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Echocardiographer to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms to assist in diagnosing and monitoring patients with cardiovascular conditions. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality patient care and accurate imaging results. No nights or Weekends.
Responsibilities
- Conduct echocardiograms on patients, ensuring adherence to established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other medical staff to interpret echocardiographic findings.
- Maintain patient records, documenting procedures performed and results obtained.
- Ensure the proper functioning of sonography equipment, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Educate patients on the echocardiogram process and provide comfort during the procedure.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
- Monitor vital signs and telemetry during procedures, ensuring patient stability throughout the examination.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized lab environment.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of cardiology principles and practices.
- Proficiency in sonography techniques specific to echocardiography.
- Familiarity with anatomy knowledge relevant to cardiovascular health.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to cardiology and emergency medicine.
- Ability to work effectively in a Level I Trauma Center environment under pressure.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpreting vital signs.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for accurate record keeping.
