Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that our spaces meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and specialized floor care techniques to ensure a polished appearance
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to uphold health and safety standards
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of carpets, windows, and hard surfaces as needed
- Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting repairs or hazards promptly to ensure a safe environment
- Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Support custodial operations during shift changes or special events to ensure continuous cleanliness
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning methods
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders if necessary
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
