Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality hair cutting, coloring, styling, and grooming services tailored to each client’s preferences and needs.
- Utilize advanced techniques including hair extensions, threading, and straight razor shaves to create customized looks.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by adhering to all health regulations and sanitation protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients, understanding their desires, and offering professional advice on hair care products and treatments.
- Manage client appointments efficiently using salon software such as MINDBODY, ensuring smooth scheduling and follow-up.
- Assist in retail sales by recommending suitable hair care products and upselling additional services to enhance client satisfaction.
- Mentor junior stylists and apprentices by sharing expertise in color theory, store management practices, and technical skills.
- Support store management with daily operations, inventory management, and maintaining a welcoming salon environment.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience working in the beauty industry.
- Proficiency in salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management.
- Demonstrated expertise in hair coloring, styling, hair extensions, threading, and barbering techniques including straight razor shaves.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Excellent communication skills for client consultations, retail sales, and team collaboration.
- Experience with retail math principles for upselling products effectively.
- Ability to mentor others while managing multiple client appointments efficiently.
- Familiarity with store management procedures including inventory control and retail sales strategies.
