SYCS Trucking Company is seeking a dependable Fleet Maintenance Assistant to support our Fleet Maintenance Manager in maintaining a safe, clean, and reliable fleet.
Responsibilities:
- Wash and detail trucks
- Assist with preventative maintenance
- Perform yard inspections
- Check fluids, tires, lights, and basic equipment condition
- Pick up parts and supplies
- Organize maintenance records
- Assist with repairs and shop duties
- Move trucks and equipment around the yard
- Keep maintenance areas clean and organized
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Strong work ethic
- CDL preferred but not required
Compensation:
- $15–$20 per hour

90-Day Goals – Fleet Maintenance Assistant
First 30 Days
- Learn fleet and equipment
- Complete truck cleanliness program

Days 31–60
- Perform routine equipment checks
- Assist with PM services
- Maintain truck appearance standards
Days 61–90
- Independently complete inspections
- Assist with minor repairs
- Maintain fleet readiness standards
