Overview
We are seeking a passionate Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team, uphold our food standards and elevate food service operations This role will oversee food preparation organization, cleanliness and staff supervision.
Repots to Executive Chef
Salary Range 40,000 - 50,000 DOE
Scope of Responsibility
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment and ensuring efficient shift management.
- Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes and Heasrsay quality standards.
- Mange inventory control, ordering, receiving, and product rotation.
- Control food and labor cost while minimizing waste.
- Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with precision and professionalism.
- Train, coach, and develop kitchen staff to improve performance and consistency.
- Assist with scheduling and staffing needs.
- Conduct line checks, quality control checks, and kitchen inspections.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to achieve operational goals.
- Resolve kitchen issues quickly and maintain a positive work environment.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and reported for repair when necessary.
- Train staff to follow up recipes in margin edge will using the kitchen tablet.
- Use Invoices (MarginEdge) to upload invoice
Requirements
- Food handler certification.
- Proven 1 to 2 years of experience in kitchen restaurant management
- Knowledge of dietary department procedures and regulations
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, cost control, and food safety standards.
- Hand-on experience with food service management, including shift oversight and operations coordinated
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. ( Hours expected to work 40)
- Bilingual ( English and Spanish strongly preferred)
- Basic understanding of Invoice submission and processing
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
