Nicos K9 Fitness is more than a dog walking company—we’re building a company centered around helping dogs live longer, healthier, happier lives through movement, exercise, enrichment, and personalized care.
We believe every dog deserves care that fits their individual needs. For some dogs, that may mean a simple neighborhood walk. For others, it may mean a quick drop-in visit, playtime, or a more fitness-focused activity.
As Nico’s K9 Fitness continues to grow, we’re building a team of people with different strengths, abilities, and interests. You do not have to be a fitness expert or extremely athletic to be part of our team. There are opportunities for people who enjoy simple dog walks, people who prefer drop-in visits, and people who are excited about fitness-focused activities.
Our goal is to build a team that can help us change dogs’ lives—one dog at a time.

About the Role…
We are looking for dependable, caring, and responsible Dog Walker & Pet Care Team Members to join Nicos K9 Fitness.
Our services include three primary areas of care:
1. Easy & Traditional Dog Walks
Everyday neighborhood walks for dogs who need fresh air, a potty break, exercise, and companionship.
These walks are not designed to be intense workouts and are perfect for team members who prefer a more relaxed pace.
2. Drop-In Visits
Short visits that may include potty breaks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, and companionship.
A great option for someone who enjoys caring for dogs but prefers shorter, less physically demanding visits.
3. Fitness-Focused Activities
For team members who enjoy being active and working with higher-energy dogs.
Activities may include structured walks, longer walks, exercise-focused activities, enrichment, and appropriate adventures.
You do not need to perform every type of service.
We want to match team members with work that fits their abilities, interests, and comfort level.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, caring dog walks and/or drop-in visits.
- Follow individual care instructions.
- Safely handle assigned dogs.
- Provide appropriate exercise, play, or enrichment when assigned.
- Keep dogs safe, comfortable, and cared for.
- Communicate professionally with clients and the team.
- Complete visit updates when required.

Preferred (Not Required)
Experience in any of these areas is a plus:
- Dog walking or pet sitting.
- Dog training or animal care.
- Veterinary or daycare experience.
- Fitness or personal training.
- Customer service.
Experience is helpful—but a genuine love for dogs, reliability, and a willingness to learn matter most.

Here Is What We Ask You To Do….
Your responsibilities will depend on the type of work you are hired and trained to perform.
You may provide:
- Dog Walks (on average 15-30 minutes).
- Drop-In Visits (on average 15-30 minutes).
- Basic pet care and companionship.
- Exercise and enrichment when assigned.
- Client updates and visit notes.
- Safe, reliable, professional care.
Some Basic Job Requirements…
- Must be 21+.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid driver’s license and required insurance.
- Reliable smartphone.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Comfortable around dogs.
- Able to safely perform the duties of your assigned position.
- Willing to work outdoors for dog-walking positions.
- Willing to learn and follow company procedures.
