About the Position
Maloy Mobile Storage Inc. is looking for a dependable, motivated person to take ownership of our Amarillo location and day-to-day operation.
This is not a driver-only position.
This person will wear several hats: Class A CDL driver, container sales representative, customer service representative, forklift operator, yard coordinator, and local point person for our Amarillo operation.
You will have a high level of independence and responsibility. We need someone who can take care of customers, make sales, complete deliveries, keep accurate paperwork, maintain an organized yard, and communicate closely with our main office in Albuquerque.
If you are someone who takes pride in your work, likes staying busy, enjoys working with customers, and can run an operation without constant supervision, this could be an excellent long-term position.

What You Will Do
Drive & Deliver
- Deliver and position/level portable steel storage containers
- Operate our truck and trailer safely in commercial, residential, government, and construction environments
- Safely back and maneuver equipment into tight locations
- Load, unload, and properly secure containers and equipment
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork
- Follow DOT requirements and company safety procedures
Work With Customers & Make Sales
- Help customers purchase and rent storage containers
- Answer phone calls, emails and in-person customer inquiries
- Explain container sizes, availability, condition, pricing, rental terms and delivery options
- Prepare container rental and sales paperwork
- Follow up with prospective customers
- Help turn inquiries into sales
- Coordinate deliveries and pickups with customers
- Provide professional, responsive customer service
Run the Yard
- Operate a forklift to move containers and equipment
- Keep container inventory organized
- Know what inventory is available and where it is located
- Keep the yard and office safe, clean and professional
- Assist with loading and unloading
- Monitor the condition of containers and equipment
Take Care of Equipment
- Help keep trucks, trailers, forklifts and other equipment clean and in good condition
- Identify maintenance or repair needs
- Coordinate and communicate equipment issues with management
- Take pride in company equipment and property
Handle the Paperwork
- Complete sales, rental, delivery and inventory paperwork accurately
- Send required paperwork and information to our Albuquerque office promptly
- Maintain organized records
- Communicate regularly with the main office regarding:
- Customers
- Sales
- Rentals
- Deliveries and pickups
- Inventory
- Equipment
- Maintenance
- Yard operations
- Problems or unusual situations

Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience
- Tractor-trailer/flatbed/roll off experience
- Strong backing and maneuvering skills
- Clean driving record
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to safely operate a forklift or quickly become proficient
- Ability to perform the physical duties required for deliveries, loading, unloading and yard operations
- Professional appearance and attitude
- English proficiency required for customer communication, paperwork and safety requirements
- Pre-employment drug screening and participation in random drug testing
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
- Sales
- Equipment rental
- Construction
- Trucking
- Equipment hauling
- Forklift operation
- Yard management
- Equipment maintenance
- Welding
You do not need experience in every one of these areas. We are most interested in finding the right person who is dependable, capable, willing to learn and takes ownership of their work and is well-rounded.

A successful person in this position will keep the Amarillo operation running smoothly.
Customers will receive prompt, professional service. Deliveries will be completed safely. Sales opportunities will be followed up on. Paperwork will reach the Albuquerque office accurately and on time. Inventory will be organized. Trucks and equipment will be cared for. The yard and office will stay clean and professional.
Most importantly, management should be able to trust that when something needs attention in Amarillo, you will communicate it and take care of it.
