Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. Position Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Journeyman Electrician to support the rehabilitation of a large industrial facility recently acquired by the company. This role requires an experienced electrician who can work independently with minimal supervision.
Required Experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills on 480V electrical systems
- Diagnose electrical issues and perform repairs safely and efficiently
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks
- Industrial electrical experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable working in an existing industrial facility undergoing renovations

Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial environments using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical schematics to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely according to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and local electrical codes.
- Diagnose electrical issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques on complex industrial electrical systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Ensure all work adheres to electrical safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols and proper grounding practices.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovation projects to install or upgrade electrical infrastructure following blueprints and schematics.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and repairs made for compliance and future reference.
Skills
- Extensive experience with industrial electrician tasks including high-voltage wiring and industrial electrical systems.
- Proven commercial electrician experience with a strong understanding of commercial electrical systems design and installation.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Safety Code) standards for safe electrical practices.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems efficiently to identify faults quickly.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, schematics diagrams, and blueprints accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; testing devices like ohmmeters; and high-voltage testing equipment.
- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety procedures for both low voltage and high voltage installations.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for industrial automation tasks.
- Strong understanding of local electrical codes and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements for all installations.
- Capable of performing renovation projects involving existing structures while maintaining safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading for both new installations and troubleshooting existing systems.

Pay: $29.00 - $36.00 per hour
