The role requires a sound understanding of the principles of accounting, tax and finance functions, including financial statement analysis/reporting, real estate accounting, partnership‐structured investments, and historical investment performance.

Manage daily project accounting activities

Process Accounts Payable (A/P), including vendor invoices, purchase orders, subcontractor payments, and expense tracking.

Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R), including customer invoicing, payment posting, collections, and account reconciliation.

Prepare and record journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.

Maintain general ledger accounts including monthly reconciliations.
-
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
-
Maintain accurate job costing and project accounting records.
-
Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting.

Quarterly consolidated financial statement preparation and presentation

Review of partnership agreements and loan documents
-
Cash/Treasury management to protect the firm’s liquidity

Debt management/compliance
-
Investor reporting/distributions
-
Investment performance tracking (realized and unrealized)

Historical investment reporting
-
Coordinate with external property managers, external tax preparers, and external auditors

Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

CPA required
-
Commercial real estate related experience
-
4-7 years’ experience

Consolidation accounting experience required

Thorough knowledge of financial accounting/partnership accounting, financial reporting and analysis

Experience with Accounting ERPs (ex. - Dynamics GP, Yardi, Sage Intact)

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Able to travel as needed.
