Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Advisor/Service Manager to join our team at a reputable repair facility. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring that their service needs are met with exceptional customer service and technical expertise. This position will also be responsible for technician oversight as well. This role requires a passion for the automotive industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to align customer needs with our service offerings.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival at the dealership.
- Assess customer service needs by discussing vehicle issues and recommending appropriate services, including oil changes, brake repairs, and diesel engine repairs.
- Transmit detailed service orders to technicians and ensure all necessary parts are available for repairs.
- Maintain clear communication with customers throughout the service process, providing updates on vehicle status and any additional recommendations.
- Collaborate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns related to service in a professional manner.
- Promote additional services and products through effective sales techniques while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in a repair setting is highly desirable.
- Strong background in customer service, with an emphasis on automotive services.
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes, including oil changes, brake repairs, suspension repairs, transmission repairs and engine repairs is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to customers.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering outstanding service experiences.
