Service Manager – Top 10 Service Department
Job Summary
We are seeking a relationship-driven Service Manager to lead our high-volume service department in the Southern Wisconsin area. Ranking in the top 10 nationwide, our facility succeeds because we prioritize people over transactions. In this role, you will lead a large team, optimize daily shop workflow using DealerTrack DMS, and maintain our reputation for elite customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively drive department growth by focusing on staff development, financial optimization, and the ongoing refinement of daily service operations.
- Relationship Leadership: Build, maintain, and protect strong, trusting relationships with our individual retail customers and local fleet clients.
- Customer Experience: Drive a culture of empathy, transparency, and clear communication throughout the entire service advisory process.
- Issue Resolution: Act as the final point of contact for customer concerns, transforming challenging situations into opportunities to win lifelong loyalty.
- Team Mentorship: Coach service advisors and technicians on customer-first communication, teamwork, and the importance of hospitality.
- Retention Tracking: Monitor customer satisfaction metrics (CSI) and retention rates, using feedback to continuously improve our service experience.
- Shop Operations: Manage daily shop efficiency and P&L targets using DealerTrack DMS, ensuring automotive and light heavy-truck workflows stay on schedule.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of management experience in a high-volume automotive service department with a proven track record of high customer satisfaction ratings.
- Relationship Skills: Exceptional communication, emotional intelligence, and a passion for serving the Southern Wisconsin community.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with DealerTrack DMS or similar DMS systems to keep customer records, communication, and repair orders seamlessly organized.
- Technical Understanding: Strong automotive service knowledge with basic familiarity of heavy truck needs, allowing you to explain repairs clearly to customers.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
