Essential Responsibilities
· Safely and efficiently operate assigned heavy equipment in support of construction and utility projects.
· Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain equipment in clean, safe operating condition.
· Identify and report equipment malfunctions, damage, or maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.
· Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance as appropriate.
· Load, unload, secure, and unfasten equipment during transportation in accordance with company safety procedures.
· Operate equipment using controls, levers, pedals, and hydraulic systems while maintaining awareness of surrounding personnel and site conditions.
· Work closely with designated spotters and crew members to ensure safe equipment movement and operation in congested work areas.
· Communicate effectively using hand signals, radios, or verbal communication to coordinate activities with field personnel.
· Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety requirements.
· Assist with general job site activities as needed to support project success.
· Maintain a professional attitude and contribute positively to a team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
· Experience operating Crane Truck for High Mast Lighting Projects.
· Ability to safely operate assigned equipment with minimal supervision.
· Strong understanding of safe excavation and equipment operating practices.
· Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members.
· Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
· Valid driver’s license; CDL is preferred for some positions.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to sit, stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
· Ability to work around moving equipment, uneven terrain, and active construction environments.
· Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
