Job Title: PRN Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor
Location: Norfolk, VA (Hampton Roads Area)
Pay: $30.00 – $35.00/hour
Schedule: As needed (PRN basis – flexible coverage)

About the Role
We are seeking a PRN SUD Counselor to join our clinical team. This is a flexible, on-call position providing coverage as needed. You will facilitate group and individual sessions, conduct assessments, and support clients with their treatment goals while working alongside a compassionate, mission-driven team.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions
- Conduct biopsychosocial and substance use assessments
- Develop and update treatment and relapse prevention plans
- Collaborate with case managers, peer support, and clinical staff
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with standards
- Provide support for clients with co-occurring mental health challenges
Qualifications
- CSAC, LCSW, LPC, or related Virginia license/certification (required)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Knowledge of substance use disorders, mental health, and relapse prevention
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in outpatient/group treatment settings preferred
