Position Details
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–3:05 PM
- Fridays: A few hours on select Fridays (varies by week)
- Start Date: Hiring immediately
The special education paraprofessional performs related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATION - EXPERIENCE – KNOWLEDGE: · Must pass the Paraprofessional Praxis Exam within 6 months of hire, must either have HS Diploma or GED, be able to assist with middle school math
Key Responsibilities
- Support students with special education needs in classroom and small-group settings
- Work closely with teachers and special education staff to implement accommodations and support plans
- Foster positive, respectful, and encouraging relationships with students
- Help students build academic skills, independence, and confidence
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- A reliable, patient, and dedicated team member
- Someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and can form strong, healthy relationships with students
- Ability to follow plans, take initiative, and collaborate with staff
- Prior experience working with children or in special education is a plus (but heart, consistency, and teachability matter most)
