General Summary:
In this role, you will provide physical therapy services to patients with physical dysfunction, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation. You will participate in patient care conferences, screenings, and program development; supervise PTAs and aides as assigned; complete required documentation; and adhere to company policies, procedures, and current clinical practice standards.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical therapy screenings and evaluations to determine patient physical status and develop, implement, and assess treatment plans using strengthening, modalities, and retraining to maximize independence.
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with productivity standards and the professional and ethical standards of the APTA, using graded activities to restore physical and functional abilities.
- Check, instruct, assign, and review the work of PTAs and aides as assigned.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support medical record quality, continuity of care, and reimbursement guidelines.
- Participate in patient care conferences, CQI activities, screenings, and new program development as requested or required.
- Promote current clinical practice standards through continuing education and in-service programs, including coordinating and/or participating in programs for internal and external groups.
- Participate in company meetings and additional activities as directed to facilitate effective departmental operations.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and current standards of clinical practice while maintaining a continuous focus on quality patient care.
Required Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Licensure as required by the State of Michigan
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to exercise professional judgment and initiative when analyzing problems and recommending solutions.
- Initiative and flexibility in the work environment.
- Ability to react effectively to the needs of patients and their families.
- Physical ability to bend, position, transfer, and lift patients weighing 80 pounds to over 300 pounds without restriction, utilizing clinically recommended lifting devices.

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
