Duties
- Drive route-specific deliveries, adhering to schedules while maintaining safety standards on the road.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking manual transmissions, brakes, lights, tires, and other critical systems.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for compliance and operational purposes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
- Follow all federal and state driving regulations, including hours of service rules for commercial drivers.
Experience
- Proven experience as a truck driver with a focus on freight delivery; previous experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized trucks is preferred.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle type (e.g., tanker endorsement).
- Skilled in driving manual transmission trucks with confidence and precision.
- Familiarity with load & unload procedures for various cargo types; experience with forklift operation is a plus.
- Knowledge of route planning and route driving best practices to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Experience handling different freight types including dry goods, refrigerated items, or hazardous materials is advantageous.

Pay: $0.45 - $0.60 per mile
