Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient visits.
- Manage medical documentation meticulously, including medical records, ICD coding, and detailed notes on patient encounters.
- Facilitate patient education by explaining procedures, medication instructions, and post-care instructions clearly and compassionately.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance and billing information, obtain preauthorizations and managing electronic health records (EHR/EMR).
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office settings with strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology.
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Electronic Health Records) management and documentation practices.
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement,Electrocardiogram, verify medications and dosages.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics and inpatient individuals.
