Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Robotics & Drones Instructor to inspire and educate youth in cutting-edge technology. This paid position involves delivering engaging lessons on robotics and drone operation, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills among young learners. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for STEM education, strong classroom management skills, and experience working with children to create a dynamic learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver hands-on lessons on robotics construction, programming, and drone piloting tailored to various age groups
- Supervise children during activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to promote respectful engagement
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid protocols and being certified in CPR and AED operation
- Facilitate youth group activities that encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation
- Support the development of individual student skills through tutoring and personalized guidance
- Collaborate with team members to develop curriculum materials that align with educational standards
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or camp settings, including youth development programs or childcare roles
- Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to maintain an engaging learning atmosphere
- Knowledge of STEM topics related to robotics, drones, or technology-based activities
- Experience facilitating outdoor work or outdoor educational activities is preferred
- Experience building Robotics and Drones from scratch
- Background in special education or childhood development is a plus
- Proven ability to lead team-based activities and foster a positive learning environment
