Avery Lane is seeking a Primary Therapist (associate or fully licensed) to join our fun, engaging, and supportive team! The role of the Primary Therapist is to manage client caseload and facilitate groups in our residential substance abuse and dual-diagnosis program.
Avery Lane is a long-term, gender specific, women-only treatment center located in Novato offering both residential and outpatient services. Our goal is to truly create a program different for our clients and focus more on their underlying issues including substance abuse, mental health and trauma. Avery Lane is not your typical inpatient facility. We are independently owned and our team works together to create and improve our clinical program collectively. We are consistently bringing in new modalities to support our clients while also learning as providers ourselves.
Primary Therapists will help to provide a trusting and safe, healthy, and open atmosphere that is conducive to support healing. We have a passion for recovery and conduct our business in a relaxed atmosphere where employees and clients work together as a community to grow.
Job Duties:
- Manage a case load of clients to see on a weekly basis; could include family counseling, etc.
- Facilitate process and educational groups
- Attend weekly clinical team meetings
- Provide individual and group session notes in a timely manner
- Work directly with Medical and Operations staff for continuity of care
- Maintain client records according to CA state requirements
- Demonstrates a work style that is consistent with the values, philosophy, and mission of Avery Lane
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Experience in residential and/or out-patient substance abuse or mental health treatment setting
- Experience with CBT and/or DBT required
- Experience with other holistic and/or evidenced-based clinical modalities
- Communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Working knowledge of California certification and licensing requirements
- Minimum of a Master's Degree is required with associate level of fully licensed: AMFT/LMFT, ACSW/LCSW, APCC/LPCC accepted and required (interns are welcome, depending on experience)
- Computer literacy and ability to work with various Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to speak and write in English
- Ability to work with clients with ages 18-65 with varying cultural and religious backgrounds
