Duties
- Supervise and care for children in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Follow all mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or welfare
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other daily routines in accordance with best practices in early childhood care
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in First Aid and CPR ( Pediatric First Aid preferred)
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to manage classroom activities effectively while maintaining a safe environment
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and childhood development standards
- Passion for nurturing young children’s growth through engaging teaching methods and compassionate supervision
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
