We are seeking a hands-on Nursery Manager whose primary responsibility is helping customers, while also maintaining the overall health, organization, and appearance of our retail nursery.
This is an outside working manager position. The majority of your day will be spent outdoors maintaining plant health, organization, and overall presentation of the nursery. Indoor duties include answering phones, checking messages, scheduling appointments, and placing weekly orders.

Primary Responsibility: Customer Service
Customer service and assisting customers is the most important part of this role.
- Greet and assist customers with plant and tree selections
- Answer phones and return messages
- Schedule estimates and appointments
- Provide plant care advice and recommendations
- Help customers find the right plants for their property
Nursery Operations (Outdoor Working Manager)
When not assisting customers, responsibilities include:
- Oversee the overall appearance and organization of the nursery
- Ensure plants and trees are properly watered
- Inspect irrigation lines and watering systems daily
- Hand-water areas not on irrigation
- Pull weeds, trim plants, and reorganize displays
- Fertilize and apply nutrients to maintain plant health
- Remove debris, fallen trees, and damaged material
- Stage pottery with plants and maintain attractive end caps
- Keep front entry clean and showroom-ready
- Walk the nursery daily and note plants needed to refill inventory lines
- Pull and tag plant material for upcoming jobs
- Backwash and clean pump filter weekly
- Safely operate a Kubota loader to move plants, trees and materials.
Retail & Interior Maintenance
- Maintain showroom-quality cleanliness in the retail area
- Sweep, mop, dust, and clean windows and doors
- Maintain and clean bathroom
- Take garbage out weekly

- Strong knowledge of plants, trees, irrigation, and fertilization preferred
- Friendly and helpful with customers
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Able to work independently
- Physically capable of working outdoors in Florida weather
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Takes pride in keeping a property looking “showroom quality”
