Overview
True North Management is seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong background in various landscaping tasks. This role involves maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties through effective landscape management practices. The Landscape Technician will work with a variety of tools and equipment to ensure high-quality results.
True North Management performs contracted services for commercial, residential, and vacation rental properties.
Duties
- Perform lawn care activities including mowing, trimming, and fertilization.
- Perform exterior property maintenance such as cleaning gutters, power washing, and repairs to soffit, fascia, or the exterior components of a residential property
- Execute landscape maintenance tasks such as weeding, planting, and mulching.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various landscaping projects.
- Assist in hardscape installations, including patios, walkways, and retaining walls as needed.
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal as necessary.
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on landscaping equipment.
- Engage in snow plowing, snow blowing, and shoveling during winter months to maintain access for clients.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while ensuring safety standards are met.
Experience
- Proven experience in landscaping and carpentry is preferred
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices, including gardening techniques and tree care.
- Experience operating excavators, skid steers, and other heavy machinery is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction methods related to hardscaping projects is beneficial.
- A strong understanding of irrigation systems and their maintenance is essential.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
