Under limited supervision, performs professional work in the delivery of physical therapy services to persons with physical disabilities who reside in a Department of Public Institutions facility. Incumbents plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatment and rehabilitation programs to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent further disability; performs related work as required.
What You’ll Do:
- Hands-on therapy, strengthening and stretching exercises, electrical stimulation, ultrasound and ice/heat. Using exercises, stretching, equipment and hands-on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility and prevent further pain and injury.
- Recording patient progress and modifying the plan of care if needed
- Developing individualized patient treatment plans
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy plus two years of experience in working with special needs clients.
Preferred Qualifications: Physical Therapist with experience with DD/ID population.
Pay: $37.01 - $54.56 per hour
