- Implement evidence-based interventions (e.g., Applied Behavior Analysis – ABA)
- Teach skills such as:
- Communication (verbal or nonverbal)
- Social interaction
- Daily living skills (hygiene, routines)
- Use reinforcement strategies to encourage positive behaviors
- Manage challenging behaviors safely and ethically
- Record session data (frequency, duration, intensity of behaviors)
- Track client progress toward goals
- Report changes or concerns to supervisors
- Work with families, caregivers, and other professionals
- Provide caregiver training and education
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Follow HIPAA and confidentiality standards
- Adhere to state and federal guidelines
- Maintain professional boundaries and ethical conduct
- Skill acquisition to children/teenagers
