Performance Responsibilities:
- Prepare and organize appropriate resources for instructional activities.
- Assist students in preparing for and engaging in classroom activities.
- Provide clear directions and guidance during lessons and activities.
- Support the delivery of instruction by assisting the teacher and monitoring student understanding.
- Interact with students to ensure comprehension and engagement with instructional materials.
- Offer feedback to students regarding their performance and progress.
- Assist with correcting and reviewing student work.
- Monitor and enforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain a safe and effective learning environment.
- Observe and collect data on student progress as directed by the teacher.
- Assist in implementing modifications and accommodations for students.
- Collaborate with regular and special education staff to support student success.
- Provide general explanations of classwork and reinforce learning concepts for students.
- Help students with work completion and other academic tasks.
- Communicate student progress, challenges, and behavior to the teacher, staff, or administration as needed.
- Assist the teacher in overseeing individual and group student behavior to maintain an orderly school environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services or Principal.
Pay: $19.52 per hour
