Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Grill Cook - I to join our vibrant culinary team! Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook grilled items including meats, vegetables, and seafood following established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and food prep stations safely and efficiently
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and preparation methods
- Ensure food production meets quality standards for taste, appearance, and portion control
- Support the dietary department by adhering to dietary restrictions and special meal requirements when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dietary aide or in food service, preferably with fine dining or high-volume production experience
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
- Skilled in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
- Proficient in operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent knife skills with the ability to handle food handling tasks efficiently
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food production processes
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable; culinary experience is a plus
