Under the general direction of the Library Services Manager, the Librarian I provides comprehensive public library services by assisting patrons, coordinating programs and outreach, managing collections and volunteers, supporting library operations and technology, and collaborating with staff and community partners to advance the library’s mission and strategic goals.
Master's degree required in library science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association. Degree may be a Master of Library Science, Master of Library and Information Science, or a Master of Arts (or Science) in Library Science, usually designated as MLS or MA in LS.
Two (2) years of professional librarian experience preferred.
Customer service experience required; experience planning and delivering educational or recreational programs strongly preferred.
Must possess a valid class "C" Driver's License.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and MVR check.
Intermediate: 10-Key, Presentation/PowerPoint, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing
Basic: Accounting, Alphanumeric Data Entry
USE OF MACHINES, EQUIPMENT AND/OR COMPUTERS
Regular use of complex machines and equipment (desktop/laptop computer and software, 3D printers, laser engravers, sewing machines, and other maker space equipment, etc.)

Normal working conditions as found within an office setting, wherein there is controlled temperature and a low noise level, plus a minimum of distractions.
