Responsibilities
- Operate industrial dryers, washers, and other laundry machinery with precision and care, following safety protocols.
- Sort, load, and unload laundry materials, ensuring proper handling of delicate items and heavy linens.
- Manage materials handling tasks including transporting laundry loads safely within the facility using manual handling techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by following strict cleaning procedures and safety standards in production environments.
- Assist with dry cleaning processes when required, ensuring garments are treated with appropriate methods.
- Monitor equipment for proper functioning, report malfunctions promptly, and perform routine maintenance as needed.
- Follow all safety standards related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and industrial laundry operations to prevent accidents or injuries.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in hotel laundry services or similar hospitality environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, laundry techniques, and materials handling best practices.
- Ability to operate heavy-duty laundry equipment such as industrial dryers and washers safely.
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safety standards in production environments.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work efficiently in a physically demanding setting.
