We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Controller to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will partner closely with the Corporate Controller to oversee daily accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, and ensure full compliance with GAAP standards. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with leadership capabilities and a passion for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial results and identify variances, trends, and areas of concern.
General Ledger & Account Reconciliation
- Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accurate transaction coding and classification.
- Perform and review reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and subsidiary ledgers.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data across all accounting systems.
Audit, Compliance & Internal Controls
- Coordinate with external auditors and support internal audit activities by preparing required schedules and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assist in developing and maintaining strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll personnel.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance support to foster professional development and team success.
- Promote a collaborative and accountable work environment.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Support the Corporate Controller in annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Analyze budget-to-actual results and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Assist with financial modeling and forecasting initiatives.
Process Improvement & Systems Optimization
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and automation initiatives.
- Recommend and implement best practices to strengthen financial processes and controls.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA designation and/or MBA strongly preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Prior supervisory or management experience preferred (1–2+ years).
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Knowledge & Competencies
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
