Bay Medic Ambulance is seeking dedicated Critical Care Transportation Nurses to join our dynamic team. Pay rate: $60 per hour
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced medical care and monitoring during inter-facility transports of critically ill or injured patients.
- Assess and manage patient conditions, including administering medications, performing interventions, and interpreting diagnostic tests as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless continuity of care from origin to destination.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and interventions.
- Operate specialized medical equipment and ensure its proper function throughout the transport process.
- Adhere to established company and county protocols, guidelines, and regulatory requirements governing patient care and transport operations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates and address concerns during transport.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge of emerging practices in critical care transport.
- Demonstrate commitment to patient safety and quality improvement initiatives within the organization.
- Uphold ethical standards and promote a compassionate, patient-centered approach in all interactions and interventions.
Requirements and skills:
- Current license in good standing as an RN in California
- Minimum two (2) years experience in critical care nursing (ICU or ED) (preferred)
- Current CPR, ACLS and PALS from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- TNCC (preferred)
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) (preferred)
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) (preferred)
- Current state driver’s license
- Ability to work well with EMTs and Paramedics in a transport situation
- Ability to work cooperatively with medical agencies to provide the highest level of patient care
- Ability to interpret all required documents and write required reports
- Satisfactorily meet Company physical assessments
