Salary: $300/day + Benefits + Bonus
Job Summary
The company is seeking a Lead Class A Supervisor in Butte, MT. The perfect candidate is dynamic, flexible and understands how critical it is to uphold the needs of the customer. This person will help to train new hires on routes, cover routes as needed and travel up to 15-20% to our other terminals to fill in as well.
Duties and responsibilities
- Ability to work Tuesday–Saturday, 3:00 AM–12:00 PM.
- Travel up to 20% of the time throughout the Pacific Northwest (PNW) as business needs require.
- Monitor daily operations, processes, procedures, employees, and driver performance to maintain efficiency, compliance, and service standards.
- Oversee drivers’ daily activities, ensure route completion, and provide support as operational needs arise.
- Cover routes as needed to maintain uninterrupted customer service and operational coverage.
- Assist drivers with daily responsibilities at meet points, including coordination, communication, and issue resolution.
- Prepare and submit daily operations reports to communicate performance updates, challenges, and key metrics.
- Work closely with the Terminal Manager to ensure smooth operations, driver compliance, and alignment with company standards.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating vehicle maintenance to ensure fleet reliability and safety compliance.
- Provide employee and driver training, coaching, and conduct pre-employment road evaluations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement through innovative problem-solving and operational strategies.
- Manage all aspects of performance, accountability and development of direct reports to maintain a high level of performance and encourage professional growth.
- Any additional duties as assigned.
- Promote a safe environment and meet all safety requirements complying with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- MUST HAVE CDL-A for at least 2 years.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Background.
- Ability to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.
