Sunstates Security is hiring an Unarmed Site Security Supervisor in the Daleville, VA area. Weekend overnights are available! This position offers a pay rate of $23.00/hr, with weekly pay.
Position Overview
Sunstates Security is seeking professional Security Officers to support a large-scale construction project in Eagle Rock, VA. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through access control, patrol operations, visitor management, and site security. Candidates who enjoy working independently in an outdoor environment and maintaining a strong security presence are encouraged to apply.
Job Requirements
Primary Responsibilities
Security Professionals will be expected to:

Provide professional security support at a critical infrastructure construction site in Daleville, VA.

Control access for employees, contractors, vendors, visitors, and authorized personnel entering and exiting the property.

Perform badging operations, credential verification, and visitor management in accordance with established site procedures.

Conduct vehicle inspections and verify contractor credentials as required.

Monitor construction activity and maintain a visible security presence throughout the project site.

Perform routine interior, exterior, and perimeter patrols to protect personnel, equipment, and client assets.

Respond to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and security concerns while following established escalation procedures.

Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, visitor logs, vehicle logs, and other required documentation with a high degree of accuracy.

Coordinate with client representatives, contractors, emergency responders, and Sunstates leadership during incidents and emergencies.

Follow all client-specific post orders, safety requirements, and Sunstates Security standards.

Maintain professionalism while delivering exceptional customer service to contractors, project personnel, and visitors.
Additional Responsibilities – Security Supervisors
Security Supervisors will also be expected to:

Provide daily oversight and leadership for assigned Security Officers.

Ensure post coverage, operational readiness, and compliance with client and company expectations.

Mentor, coach, and support Security Officers while maintaining accountability and professionalism.

Coordinate staffing adjustments, shift pass-downs, and operational communication with management.
-
Assist with incident management, investigations, and after-action documentation.
-
Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site security operations during assigned shifts.
Minimum Requirements

Must be able to work in Daleville, VA.
-
Active Virginia DCJS Security Officer Registration preferred or the ability to obtain and maintain required credentials.

Must possess a valid driver's license with the ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.

Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must be proficient with computers and comfortable utilizing access control systems, badging platforms, and security technology.

Must be capable of multitasking and making sound decisions in an active construction environment.
-
Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a professional demeanor.

Must be able to work extended hours, weekends, and company-observed holidays as operational needs require.

Prior experience in security, military, law enforcement, construction site security, industrial facilities, critical infrastructure, or customer service preferred.

Schedule / Coverage Needs
This account operates Monday-Friday with Sat/Sun as-needed throughout the duration of the construction project.
Current staffing needs include:

Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Weekend Coverage: As needed to support construction operations and project requirements.

Additional shifts may be added as construction progresses and operational needs evolve
Candidates with flexible availability and an interest in supporting a long-term critical infrastructure project are strongly encouraged to apply.
A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
